William Giraldez - Regional General Manager

General Manager William GiraldezWilliam Giraldez brings 30 years of hospitality experience with him to this role, working with the Mondrian Hotel, DoubleTree, Embassy Suites, Hilton Hotels, Red Lion Hotel Corporation, Sage Hospitality and Richfield Hospitality during his career. In addition to five past roles as a General Manager, he has also been a Rooms Division Manager, Suite Division Managerand Executive Housekeeper. His career has taken him to jobs in California, Florida, Texas, Massachusetts, Washington, Minnesota, Nebraska and now New Mexico. His most recent position was as the General Manager at the DoubleTree El Paso Downtown. In 2013 and again in 2016, Giraldez received the ‘Workplace Excellence of the Year’ Award from Richfield Hospitality and in 1999 he was named the General Manager of the Year for DoubleTree Hotels and Resorts. He is an active community member, spearheading the Borderplex Alliance Tourism Taskforce. He works diligently to drive tourism to the area and he helped to create the slogan “2 Nations, 3 States, 1 Heart”. He is the Past President and Board Member of the El Paso Hotel Model Lodging Association. He is also a Veteran the United States Army.

Christine Espana - Regional Revenue Analyst
Christine Espana is one the original team members for Hilton Las Cruces, which became Hotel Encanto in 2006.  After nearly 28 years, she has become a remarkable leader in our hotel management team and within the Heritage Hotel & Resorts team. She began her career as a Front Desk Agent in 1986 and was quickly promoted to Front Office Supervisor. In 1990, she became the hotel’s Reservation Manager.  In 2004, Christine was promoted to Revenue Manager, where she has driven the success of our property. She was twice named the company’s Revenue Manager, in 2006 and 2007. Christine is guest favorite and has built many long-term relationships with them. She currently serves as our Regional Revenue Analyst.

James Wilson - Regional Sales Manager
James Wilson, who serves association and corporate clients, has been a member of the Hotel Encanto team for nearly 27 years. He began his hospitality career in the kitchen with the opening of the Andover Marriott in Massachusetts. His history with our hotel team includes various positions with the Food and Beverage department including Beverage Manager/Hotel Night Manager. James led the team opening two successful beverage venues, Las Caras and the current luxurious AZUL Ultra lounge. James joined the hotel's sales team in 2007 and enjoys partnering with his clients for successful events. He graduated from New Mexico State University with a hospitality degree in 1993.

Amanda Roberts - Front Office Manager
Amanda Roberts joined the Hotel Encanto hospitality team in August 2011 as a Front Desk Agent. After mastering the front desk position, she was promoted to one the hotel’s manager-on-duty. Amanda is well-respected and has been named as an Employee of the Month. In November 2013, Amanda became our Reservation Manager. She has quickly established herself as one of the hotel’s young leaders. She loves working with people and manages our VIP experiences.
